Isuzu D-MAX Joins Queensland Police

Isuzu Ute Australia has delivered the first seven D-MAX crew cab utes to Queensland Police.

Two have already been fitted with ‘prisoner pods’ equipped with an auxiliary air-conditioner system.

The Sunshine State is unique amongst law enforcement agencies in not outsourcing vehicle maintenance to leasing operators. The Queensland Police set their own design and engineering benchmarks and then purchase and maintain their vehicles – so the decision to buy Isuzu D-MAX crew cabs is a compliment to the Japanese company.

Isuzu Ute Australia Managing Director. Hitoshi Kono said his company enjoyed working with the engineering experts at Queensland Police to optimize their D-MAX crew cabs for the various roles they will perform.
