They were slicing the birthday cake earlier this week at Ford Australia’s headquarters to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the American giant’s Australian operations.
And to commemorate this achievement, Ford has rolled-out special 50th Anniversary Falcon G-Series and XR model utes and sedans.
Bursting with extra model-specific features including alloy wheels, unique leather and cloth trim, leather steering wheels, climate control air-conditioning and more, the Ford ‘Birthday Boys’ start from $36,950 (XR6 sedan) and $32,950 (XR6 Ute).
The full 50th Anniversary Limited Edition lineup is:
50th Anniversary XR6 Sedan (manual) - $36,950
50th Anniversary XR6 Turbo Sedan (manual) - $45,950
50th Anniversary G6E Sedan (automatic) - $47,950
50th Anniversary G6E Turbo Sedan (automatic) - $54,950
50th Anniversary XR6 Ute (manual) - $32,950
50th Anniversary XR6 Turbo Ute (manual) - $38,950
Ford fans will quickly point-out those prices are lower than the ‘donor’ cars which are the base models. Those prices are correct and so - with all the extras thrown-in - the 50th Anniversary Falcons do represent great buying.
