Subaru unveiled the all-new Levorg wagon at the Tokyo Motor Show, but sadly the good-looking newcomer, on-sale early next year, is only for the Japanese domestic market.
Power comes from turbocharged 1.6-litre or 221kW/400Nm 2.0-litre Boxer engines and the Levorg runs the latest Subaru technology including next-generation Eyesight safety system.
As is the Subaru way, practicality ranks highly with the Levorg – plenty of cargo space housed underneath that nicely styled wagon body. The hallmark Subaru hexagonal grille is there but modern ‘hawk-eye’ headlights add a sporty touch.
With piano black highlights, metallic accents and a sporty ‘D’-shaped steering wheel, the interior is distinctly up-market and, perhaps as a hint of future Subaru designs, the Levorg adopts a twin-lens horizontal layout for the dashboard with 3.5-inch LCD screens.
