Britain’s Auto Express magazines’ annual new car awards brought good news for Ford with its excellent Focus and Fiesta models (Britain’s number one and number two best-selling vehicles) being honoured.

For the third consecutive year, the Ford Fiesta was named Britain’s best ‘Super Mini’.

In announcing the special award, Auto Express Acting Editor Graham Hope said: “This year’s Special Award has been handed to the Ford Focus because it puts the kind of high-tech safety kit you expect to find on expensive executive cars within the reach of the motoring masses. Its innovative Driver Assistance Pack breaks fresh ground in the family sector by including a raft of potentially life-saving features at a surprisingly low price.”

Both Ford Focus and Ford Fiesta are Car Showroom favourites – we reckon they stake a genuine claim to being the best vehicles in the categories on the Australian market.
