No sign of Lexus relaxing its passion for high-performance coupes with news overnight that the LC500h hybrid will appear next month at the Geneva Motorshow.
Apart from the neck-snapping good looks, there’s a major development under the bonnet in the form of the performance-oriented ‘Multi Stage Hybrid System’.
At the heart is a 220kW 3.5-litre V6 and electric motor but driving the rear wheels via a conventional four-speed automatic transmission.
Lexus says this format more closely aligns engine response to driver inputs.
Otherwise the Lexus LC500h pretty much follows in the wheeltracks of the LC500 V8 (a carbon-fibre sub-structure and roof with aluminium for the bonnet, doors and fenders).
There are unique LED lights front and rear (the front a triple LED unit) and unique 20-inch and 21-inch alloy wheels.
