Chinese importer Great Wall Motors has enhanced its incredible value-for-money reputation by expanding the V240 ute range with a single cab 4x2 variant priced at $17,990 driveaway.
Powered by a fuel-injected 2.4-litre engine, offering a 2.4-metre drop-side alloy tray, dual airbags, anti-lock brakes with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, air-conditioning , alloy wheels, remote central locking, power mirrors and a CD audio system, the new Great wall V240 single cab delivers significant specifications for its sub-$18,000 sticker.
The V240 is also available in a 4x4 variant priced at $20,990 driveaway.
Great Wall’s 2.4-litre powerplant delivers 100kW of power at 5,250 rpm and peak torque of 200Nm from 2,500rpm. Drive is to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission.
Great Wall says the V240 returns combined cycle fuel consumption of 10.7l/100kms.
