Maserati’s glorious Quattroporte Sport GTS is now even more powerful thanks to under-bonnet electronic changes which have lifted output from the 4.7-litre V8 to 331kW (that’s 450 horsepower in the old language).
Torque has also been boosted from 490Nm to 510Nm.
Importantly, for supercar fans, the extra grunt allows the magnificent four-door Maserati Quattroporte Sport GTS to shave its zero to 100km/h time to the benchmark 5.0-seconds – matching the similar Porsche Panamera 4S.
Maserati says engine mapping and software changes as well as recent friction-reducing engineering is responsible for the Quattroporte Sport GTS’ extra grunt.
The Quattroporte Sport GTS has a top speed of 285km/h.
