Audi will boost the lineup of its funky A1 model with a new Sportback variant due in Australia mid this year.
The compact (3.95-metres long) Audi A1 Sportback has just been launched in Spain’s Costa Brava and will be sold in Europe with a choice of seven engines (four petrol and three diesel). Audi Australia is currently working to finalize local plans but we’d expect the same 1.4-litre powerlants we currently see in the A1.
European versions come with either four individual seats or you can specify a rear bench seats which affords a five-person capacity. The Sportback’s new roofline delivers an extra 11mm of rear head space over the standard A1.
Otherwise specifications mirror the standard Audi A1 – including the Attraction and Ambition model grades.
