The Scion iM is about as close to a Toyota Corolla as a HSV GTS is to a Commodore Evoke…and that’s a good thing.
Toyota’s North American Scion sub-brand developed the iM targeting Californian youth, the sporty looks drawing inspiration from the European touring car racing series.
Painted in specially blended ‘Incerdiblue’ paint with matte silver and gunmetal accents, the Scion iM is highlighted by an edgy style with a customer front-end and large air intakes.
A lower ride height, adjustable susppensi0on vented brake discs and massive 19-inch forged alloy wheels are also part of the story.
Scion boss Doug Murtha has given a strong hint the iM might be going into production (the full story will emerge in Los Angeles next Thursday.
So let’s start lobbying Toyota Australia now to get our own version of this racy Corolla on-sale here.
