Mazda has added extra features but cut the price of its range-topping Mazda2 Genki.
Now starting at $20,495, the stylish Mazda2 Genki gains automatic rain-sensing windscreen wipers (Mazda says the first in this segment), cruise control, automatic headlights, climate control air-conditioning and a revised trip computer with extra information such as outside temperature, fuel consumption and distance to empty for the fuel tank.
On the outside the latest Mazda2 Genki is identified by a re-designed front bumper and new alloy wheels.
Other Mazda2 models – Neo and Maxx – received running changes earlier this year.
By any measure the Mazda2 is at the pointy end of the compact car field and these changes to the Genki model, and that handy price cut, improve an already excellent package.
The two model range is:
Mazda2 Genki (five-speed manual) $20,495
Mazda2 Genki (four-speed automatic) $24,140
