‘Formula Blue’ the Holden colour made famous by Peter Brock’s 1985 HDT Group A VK SS Commodore returns to Australia’s best-selling car as part of the 2012 upgrades.
This time called ‘Perfect Blue’, the new colour joins ‘Chlorophyll’ (a metallic teal) as two new colours to join the Commodore and Cruze pallets for next year.
Other changes for the 2012 Holden Commodore include some extra chrome exterior trim, new seven-spoke, 16-inch alloy wheels for Omega models and a new bootlid spoiler for Calais V.
Inside, the latest Holden Commodore gains some contrasting seat stitching and the Holden iQ multimedia system has been updated for improved Bluetooth functionality and compatibility with the latest smart phones.
The racy Holden Commodore SS V-Series Redline Edition has also scored some attention with the racetrack-inspired FE3 sports suspension now standard in sedan, Sportwagon and ute variants. There are also new 19-inch alloy wheels which show-off the standard Brembo brakes whose calipers are now painted Holden red.
