Like other European brands, Opel is pursuing zero-emissions city cars with the Frankfurt Motor Show unveiling of an electric two-seater.
Full details will be revealed in Frankfurt, but Opel says its latest concept is capable of a top speed of 120km/h, and the two occupants are seated in tandem.
The German giant claims younger drivers can even use the battery-powered vehicle to learn how to drive – its speed can be limited to 45km/h.
Parents can then re-posses the vehicle, adjust the speed limiter back to 120km/h and it is perfectly capable of short journeys on German autobahns.
