Holden’s all-new Barina compact car goes on-sale later this month buoyed by confirmation of the highest possible five-star safety rating after barrier testing by Australia’s ANCAP. And the rating applies to both the Holden Barina hatchback about to be launched and the all-new Holden Barina sedan scheduled to debut next year.
With six airbags, ESC, head restraints for all seats and a collapsible pedal system, the all-new Holden Barina compact highlights safety features which not so long ago were exclusive to high-priced European vehicles.
“This is a great result and one that reflects the commitment Holden have made to make the Barina one of the safest small cars on the road,” explained Holden chief Mike Devereux. “We’re ensuring a large number of safety features are accessible to all motorists, not dependent on budget or car size.”
