Holden Volt has joined the Nissan LEAF in the Victorian Government’s electric vehicle trial program.
Holden’s fleet of Volt vehicles will join the trial in a joint program to promote awareness and understanding of electric vehicles and to provide feedback and data to aid future infrastructure needs.
“By getting involved with the Victorian Electric Vehicle Trial we hope to develop a better understanding of how people derive and recharge vehicles in Australia,” revealed Holden’s Richard Marshall.
Holden Volt goes on sale later this year.
While left-hand-drive American version of the Volt have been testing locally since December, the first right-hand-drive versions arrived this week and will be driven by Holden employees for three months to provide feedback on day-to-day life with an all-electric vehicle.
You can see the feedback directly (not shrouded in secrecy like normal new car development) at Holden’s official blog: www.HoldenHQ.com.au/charging-up-Volt
