Subaru’s competent Liberty Exiga has gain an extra seat (now a seven-seater) but no extra dollars for its 2013 model upgrade.
Priced from $37,990 the Subaru Liberty Exiga is a credentialed family wagon with three child seat anchor points, Subaru’s hallmark quality and of course five-star ANCAP safety.
Other changes for the 2013 Subaru Liberty Exiga are minor – new exterior mirrors and new 17-inch alloy wheels for the range-topping Premium model ($42,490).
Under the bonnet is Subaru’s 2.5-litre boxer engine with a handy 123kW/229Nm driving through either a six-speed manual transmission of a CVT auto.
“Liberty Exiga will now appeal to even more families that need the option of a seventh seat, in addition to the significant cargo volume it offers for load carrying, with seats down in a variety of combinations,” explained Subaru Australia chief Nick Senior.
