Holden got most things right in its budget-busting Barina Spark compact car in order to appeal to young drivers – except the manual-only transmission.
But that has been corrected in the updated 2013 model Holden Barina Spark which, as well as the previous five-speed manual transmission, is now available with a four-speed automatic.
Also included in the upgrade is a freshened look.
Under the bonnet, the 2013 Holden Barina Spark gains extra performance from the 1.2-litre, four-cylinder engine – up from 50kW/107Nm to 63kW/113Nm. Fuel consumption is rated at 5.8l/100kms (previously 5.6l/100kms).
On the outside, there’s a new front grille, new headlights, new tail-lights and a body-colour rear spoiler.
Holden has also simplified the model lineup – Barina Spark now offered in a single CD grade.
Prices are:
CD automatic $14,490
CD manual $12,490
