Holden Launches Craig Lowndes SS V Special Edition Commodore The V8s are in action at the Supercheap Autos Bathurst 1000 this weekend and Holden has captured the front-running off-track with the launch of the Craig Lowndes SS V Special Edition Commodore.
Based on the range-topping MY15 SS V Redline model, the Craig Lowndes Special Edition scores the MY15 steering wheel paddle shifters for quicker gear shifts plus four-piston Brembo brakes front and rear, upgraded suspension bushes and 20-inch alloy wheels.
Paint choces are ‘Red Hot’ or ‘Heron White’ and the externals also score a black grille, black fender vents, a black roof and black window surrounds as well as side and bonnet decals.
Inside, there’s an embroidered Craig Lowndes signature on the dashboard pad.
Each car comes with a certificate of authenticity and a build plate and owners will get personal Red Bull Racing tours hosted by Lowndes and two tickets to their local V8 Supercars championship race.
Only 233 examples are being produced, each one is hand-finished and more than 50 pr-cent have already been ordered by eager customers. The Craig Lowndes Special Edition Commodore is priced at $57,990 (manual) and $60,190 (automatic).
