A revised Electronic Power Steering (EPS) system is at the heart of Holden’s updated 2015 Commodore range announced today.
There are three calibrations for the EPS – ‘Touring’ for Evoke, Calais, Calais V and Caprice V models, ‘Sport’ for SV6, SS and SS V and ‘Sport and Competitive’ for SS V Redline.
Holden says the steering changes enhance precision and on-centre feel.
As well, sporty SS V models gain steering wheel paddle shifters for rapid gear changes, new-design 19-inch split-rim black alloy wheels and a new Jet Black interior (titanium highlights are optional).
Sports models also add a gloss-black rear valance.
Two new colours have been introduced – ‘Some Like It Hot Red’ (available across the entire range) and ‘Jungle Green’ (exclusive to sports models).
SS V Redline models in Red Hot, Jungle Green or Heron White will have the option of contrasting black roof from early next year.
Another change sees SV6 and caprice models gain a full-size alloy spare wheel (replacing the current model’s tyre sealant and air compressor kit).
The Holden Caprice lineup is consolidated into a single Caprice V specification and the LPG option for SV6 models has been discontinued.
