Just ahead of the Lotus team arriving in Australia for the F1 Grand Prix, the latest Lotus Exige S Roadster has gone on-sale priced at $126,990.
As the supercharged V6 Lotus Exige S is an awesome piece of kit, it stands to reason the open-top version would be very special.
And the figures support that claim – with 258kW/400Nm propelling a two-seat sports car weighing less than 1200kgs, the Lotus Exige S zips through zero to 100km/h inn the supercar league time of 4.0-seconds.
Technically there are some changes for the Roadster version which actually tips the scales around 10kgs lighter than the hardtop. Lotus says the Exige S Roadster runs extra camber and thicker rear anti-roll bar.
On the options list is a ‘Race Pack’ alternative version of the driver-select Lotus Dynamic Performance Management system which brings Launch Control and a different suspension tune amongst its features.
“The new Exige S Roadster matches the raw supercar performance, agility, unparalleled ride and handling and mind blowing drive experience that took Lotus to a new level,” enthused Alastair Manihera, the brand’s boss for Australia/New Zealand. “Quite simply you can’t get more Lotus than the Exige S with or without the roof.”
