Styling is a standout with Hyundai’s new i45 mid-size sedan and this has been recognized in the Australian International Design Awards.
The i45 took out an award in the Automotive and Transport category of the 2010 awards which boasted a field of 200 products for consideration by the six-member judging panel.
“Among other aspects, the judges noted i45 provides a surprisingly spacious interior which is savvy without being overbearing,” revealed Australian International Design Awards Program Director, Stephanie Pemberton.
The i45 continues Hyundai’s ‘Fluidic Sculpture’ design philosophy and was created at the company’s North American styling studios in Irvine, California.
Speaking from California, Hyundai’s North American Design Manager, Andre Hudson said: “With i45 we wanted to deliver a strikingly modern shape, yet accommodate the wide variety of practical needs which sedan buyers require.”
Hyundai is the world’s fastest-growing automotive company and locally, is Australia’s fourth best-selling brand.
