Citroen’s one-model-range C4 Picasso compact people mover has been updated for 2012 with more performance but no price change – the handsome seven-seater still stickered at $37,990.
But only Citroen’s most ardent fans will pick the newcomer – visual changes for the 2012 update are limited to a new front grille and badges.
Under the bonnet, Citroen C4 Picasso gains a new 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine with 120kW of power (up from 100kW) and 340Nm of torque (up from 270Nm). Citroen says the C4 Picasso can now accelerate from zero to 100km/h in 10.6 seconds and can deliver fuel consumption as low as 6.8l/100kms.
While Citroen has not sent a C4 Picasso our way for testing, we know inside the flexible people mover shows design smarts with seven individual seats and lots of storage compartments. There are even fold-down picnic table to help keep youngsters occupied during long journeys.
