Trust Peugeot to be at the cutting edge – while Australia is normally one of the last markets to receive all-new European models, this time we’ll be the first (along with New Zealand) to receive the all-new Peugeot 4008.
Peugeot’s all-new SUV debuts next month at the Geneva Motor Show and hits the local market in June, priced from below $30,000.
A product jointly developed with Mitsubishi, this time around the Peugeot version boasts more unique French styling – every exterior panel except the doors has been created by Peugeot. Same inside with black lacquer finishes and up-scale trim materials affording the new Peugeot 4008 substantially more luxury than the current model
The engine lineup has changed too – Peugeot is offering the all-new 4008 in Europe with a choice of 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre petrol engines and 1.6-litre and 1.8-litre turbo-diesels.
“The 4008 allows Peugeot access to the ever expanding compact SUV segment with a product that’s perfectly suited to today’s active customer,” revealed Peugeot Australia boss Ken Thomas. “Available in both two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive versions, the 4008 caters to all buyers in the market and, with competitive pricing we believe it has the ability to lift Peugeot sales by 20 per cent.”
