2012 Volvo XC70 Gets Extra Safety & Technology

Volvo has ramped-up the safety and technology included in its outstanding XC70 with smart upgrades for the 2012 model year.

Standard across the 2012 range is the latest generation Volvo City Safety, Driver Control Interface, rear-view camera, power operation for the tailgate, and a high-performance Multimedia system with seven-inch screen. Extrenally, LED indicator lights are now mounted in the rear-view mirrors, while inside, the 2012 Volvo XC70 scores LED mood lighting for the front floor area.

Now also alvailable on the Volvo XC70 are Volvo Sensus, Adaptive Cruise Control with Full Auto Brake, Pedestrain Detection and Queue Assist.

The optional Teknik Pack equipes 2012 model year Volvo XC70s with Volvo Navigation System, Blind Sport Information System, Active neding Lights and power adjustment for the passengers’ seat.

No changes under the bonnet with the 2012 XC70 employing two excellent Volvo engines. The 3.2 model uses a six-cylinder petrol engine with 179kW/320Nm while the D5 scores Volvo’s hearty five-cylinder, twin-turbo diesel delivering 151kW/420Nm.
