With the Aussie-made Chevrolet SS due to be unveiled this weekend at the Daytona 500 NASCAR race in Florida, Holden has released these pics of the all-new VF model SS sedan.
As we know from last week’s debut of the all-new Holden VF Commodore in luxury Calais guise, Holden has upped the ante for local-produced vehicles with technology including Reverse Traffic Alert, Head-Up Display, Blind Spot Alert, Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning and Auto Park Assist.
The SS model pictured runs one of Commodore’s new paint colours – ‘Fantale Orange’ (a throwback to previous orange-coloured Holden icons like the Torana and Sandman panel van). Befitting its performance car status, the SS features black gloss 20-inch alloy wheels, black aero panels, unique front and rear facias and less chrome than the Calais version.
Inside, the Holden VF Commodore SS ramps-up over the current generation with bolstered sports seats in leather and suede, a stitched leather instrument binnacle, carbon fibre-look trim and finishes in suede, galvano chrome and gloss black.
Best of all, the Chevrolet launch this weekend in Daytona puts the outstanding work of the Holden team right in the international spotlight.
