Australian customers can now order features from the 2015 ‘XXV Special Edition’ anniversary model to their own Land Rover Discovery with deliveries starting in November this year.
For example, you can spec XXV 20-inch 5-split spoke alloy wheels (now there are four 20-inch alloys to choose from), Ebony/Cirrus dual-tone Windsor leather seats, Grand Black Lacquer or Straight Grained Walnut timber.
Inside, the 2015 Land Rover Discovery adds a rotary gear shift selector and steering wheel paddle shifters and Adaptive Cruise Control is on the options list.
Under the bonnet, while the 3.0-litre supercharged V6 petrol engine is good for 250kW/450Nm, fuel consumption has dropped to 11.5l/100kms. The two V6 turbo-diesels are unchanged at 155kW and 183kW.
There are new exterior paints on the list – Aruba, Kaikoura Stone, Montalcino Red and a new metallic white called Yulong.
“To mark 25 years of Discovery, Land Rover offered more premium luxury in the form of the XXV Special Edition,” revealed Land Rover’s marketing boss Phil Popham. “Striking attributes from this anniversary derivative are now being made available across the range for our customers to bring that level of heightened luxury into the Discovery of their choice.”
