Well it is the perfect vehicle for those in the Big Apple to take to their weekend homes in The Hamptons…Subaru chose the New York International Auto Show to wheel-out the all-new Outback wagon (the new model Liberty will be sedan only in Australia).
Subaru Australia says we can expect the newcomer on-sale here in early 2015 and is currently working to package local specifications and prices.
We certainly like the new look – much more dynamic and sporty. You’ll notice the door-mounted mirrors and front quarter windows (just like the all-new WRX).
Interestingly, there’s steps for the side sills (to make roof loading easier).
Inside, as well as the new look, we’re told the all-new Subaru Liberty wagon delivers more space front and rear.
Enhanced suspension specifications, Active Torque Vectoring and a quicker steering rack will enhance the driving experience.
Engines are again the 2.5-litre, four-cylinder and 3.6-litre six-cylinder boxer variants, both driving though CVT autos.
