Kia has released these first official photos of the all-new Sportage SUV which will debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in a couple of weeks. Only a few days ago we showed you a few unofficial images that leaked online - 2016 Kia Sportage Leaked Online
As we reported last week, the all-new Sportage is the work of Kia’s European styling team (ironically based in Frankfurt).
And while it continues the theme of the Sportage (now entering its fourth generation) the all-new ‘face’ is a dramatic change – headlights switch to contemporary sweeping units blending into the bonnet and front fenders, and the new version of the ‘tiger nose’ grille sits lower.
The profile is even more raked than the outgoing model, the wheelbase is longer, front overhangs are longer and rear overhangs shorter.
And the rear sees brake lights, turning signals and reversing lights separated (the slim combination lights reminiscent of Kia’s ‘Provo’ concept car from 2013.
Those at the Frankfurt Motor Show will first see the all-new Kia Sportage on 15 September.
