Mitsubishi has launched the all-new 2016 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport in Australia that replaces the outgoing Mitsubishi Challenger.
Priced from $45,000 the Pajero Sport is available in three trim levels, GLX, GLS and Exceed.
Pricing and Line-up
Mitsubishi Pajero Sport GLX $45,000
Mitsubishi Pajero Sport GLS $48,500
Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Exceed $52,750
All three variants are powered by the same 2.4-litre MIVEC turbo diesel engine found in the Mitsubishi Trition. The diesel engine produces 133kW of power at 3500 rpm and 430Nm peak torque at 2500 rpm.
Fuel consumption is a claimed 8.0L / per 100km which is a 12.5% improvement on the outgoing Challenger model
Mitsubishi has worked extremely hard to produce a refined interior on the all-new Pajero Sport. With seating for five passengers, the GLS and Exceed models receive leather trim whilst the entry level GLX ships with cloth.
Connectivity can lay claim to best in class with the Pajero Sport coming standard with a 7-inch colour touch screen display that can integrate with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, there is also DAB+ digital radio, USB, Bluetooth Audio and Phone connectivity as standard
The range topping Pajero Sport Exceed also has a rear seat entertainment unit with DVD player and high definition 9-inch roof-mounted colour display and 8-speaker audio to keep the kids happy.
The Pajero sport also has serious off road capabilities thanks to the Super Select II 4WD system and off road terrain control sytem. The Super Select II system allows drivers to select between 2H, 4H, 4HLc (locks the centre differential) and 4LLc (low gears and locks the centre differential).
The Off Road terrain system adjusts allows the driver to select either Gravel, Mud/Snow, Sand or Rock mode which then adjusts throttle input and wheel movement to suit conditions.
Safety has also been taken care of thanks rear view camera, reversing sensors, seven SRS airbags, Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Hill Descent Control, Hill Start Assist and Trailer Stability Assist systems to name a few.
The Pajero Sport Exceed also features multi around monitor, blind spot warning, forward collision mitigation and Ultrasonic misacceleration Mitigation System as standard equipment.
