Audi has just launched the RS4 Avant Bronze Edition for the British market and what a colour combination this receives. Only 25 specimens are up for grabs and will be priced from £82,395 or AU$160,145. The new limited edition Audi Sport wagon will feature a few exclusive features.
The RS4 Avant Bronze Edition will feature a stealthy look that’s contrasted with – you guessed it – a bronze finish. The Avant gets 20-inch bronze milled wheels and a whole lot of blacked out trim. This includes the Singleframe grille, front air intake surrounds, roof rails, window surrounds, and rear details like the Audi badge – all finished in gloss black.
Furthermore, the carbon fibre lip spoiler, rear diffuser, and side mirror caps all don a matte look. The RS sports exhaust system is not only standard here but is also given the dark treatment, its usual bright work is replaced with blacked-out equivalents. The black from all the trim pieces goes handsomely with the Vesuvius Grey paintjob.
Inside, the Nappa leather upholstered super sport seats are contrasted with bronze contrast stitching. The same leather is present on the sides of the centre console, arm rests, steering wheel and gear lever gaiter as well. Carbon fibre trimming also finds its place in the interior.
Furthermore, it feature’s MMI Navigation Plus that’s displayed on the 10.1-inch MMI touchscreen, Audi Virtual Cockpit with RS-specific graphics and massaging front seats. This RS4 Avant also comes with the Comfort and Sound Pack, which includes the Advanced Key entry system, powered tailgate, a 360-degree ‘birds-eye-view’ optical system and a 755-watt, 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen stereo. The Bronze Edition Avant also gets Matrix LED headlights.
Now, onto the oily bits that makes this Audi an RS model. This Avant packs 331kW of power from 5,700 rpm and 600Nm of twist from 1,900 rpm. Power is then channel to all four wheels via an eight-speed tiptronic transmission.
The 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged V6 is able to launch itself to 100 km/h from standstill in just 4.1 seconds. Keep your right foot mashed to the carpet and you’ll see the RS4 top out at an electronically-limited speed of 250 km/h. Opt for the RS Dynamic package and the top speed goes up to 280 km/h. The petrol-fed V6 guzzles 9.2-litres of fuel per 100 km when measured on the combined WLTP cycle. CO2 emissions measure 211 g/km. According to the marque, those figures represents a 17 percent drop when compared against the pre-facelift RS4 Avant.
