Holden is expecting a maximum five-star safety rating from Australian NCAP for its upcoming all-new Barina compact car following a five-star performance from its European twin, the Chevrolet Aveo.
In achieving the maximum five-star safety rating in the EuroNCAP barrier tests, GM’s Aveo performed well in all requirements – especially adult occupant protection (95 per cent) and child occupant protection (87 per cent).
Due for local launch soon, all versions of the all-new Holden Barina will be equipped with six airbags and a comprehensive ESC package.
“This is a fantastic endorsement for GM’s new global light car,” revealed Holden Marketing Director, John Elsworth. “Barina has been designed to meet the highest occupant safety standards around the world and we’re very confident it will perform strongly here too.”
