Italian carmaker Alfa Romeo has released a limited-edition of its flagship Giulia Quadrifoglio saloon, throwing in $8500 worth of additional kit at no extra cost. For $143,900 (before ORCs) you can take home a Giulia Quadrifoglio Carbonio Edition, one of just 20 such cars in the country.
“The new Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Carbonio Edition blends the same highly acclaimed driving dynamics, technologies, lightness and efficiency, with new distinctive styling features to accentuate its dynamic performance and design. The Giulia Quadrifoglio Carbonio Edition brings something fresh, unique, and exhilarating to the premium sports saloon market in an exciting year for the brand in Australia.” — Fulvio Antonelli, Brand Boss, Alfa Romeo Australia
The Carbonio Edition throws in a variety of unique aesthetic touches, befitting a one-of-20 limited-run car. There are things like 19-inch dark alloys, leather & Alcantara steering wheel replete with carbon-fibre inserts, triple-coat exterior paint, and ‘Enhanced Carbon Fibre Detailing’ (which throws in Front V Trilobe inserts, mirror caps, illuminated door sill covers, and a carbon fibre trimmed shift cover).
No mechanical changes means that the 2.9-litre Ferrari-engineered V6 engine produces the same 375kW of power and 600Nm of torque, and does so while producing a monstrous sound while it’s at it. All of that means the Giulia QV can hit 100km/h in just 3.9-seconds from rest, though it’s worth bearing in mind that despite the carbon fibre bits, don’t expect to see major performance upgrades here.
If you’re keen on a Giulia QV Carbonio we’d suggest you move fast: With no extra cost incurred and just 20 up for grabs, we don’t imagine they’ll stick around in showrooms for very long.
