Just weeks out from its Australian launch there’s good news for the all-new Mazda2 in the form of the coveted ‘2014-2015 Car Of The Year Japan’ award.
The win comes from a massive field of contenders as the Japan Car Of The Year Committee considered all passenger cars with a sales volume in Japan greater than 500 units launched between 1 November 2013 and 30 September this year.
All-new Mazda2 is the fith Mazda model to score this award.
As we know, the all-new Mazda2 is fourth model to adopt the full suite of SkyActiv technology and the ‘Kodo – Soul Of Motion’ design philosophy.
So, following in the wheeltracks of the Mazda CX-5, Mazda6 and Mazda3, it will be interesting to see how Mazda applies its current technology to a compact hatchback.
