Ahead of its 2020 arrival, Mazda Australia has released the local specifications and pricing for the all-new CX-30. The Japanese firm’s SUV is positioned between the CX-3 and CX-5 and is based on the underpinnings of the fourth-generation Mazda3.
“All-New Mazda CX-30 is the perfect middle ground between small and medium SUV, giving customers a really sensible alternative that is equally stylish and innovative,” said Mazda Australia Managing Director Mr. Vinesh Bhindi.
The CX-30 will be offered with two engine choices, a 2.0-litre or 2.5-litre SkyActiv-G four-cylinder that’s mated to a 6-speed SkyActiv-Drive automatic. The 2.0-litre produces 114kW and 200Nm while the larger 2.5-litre outputting 139kW and 252Nm. While the range is predominantly front-wheel driven, all-wheel drive is offered on Touring and Astina trim levels. Four trim levels are available for the model, namely Pure, Evolve, Touring and Astina.
Inside, the higher-spec Touring and Astina get a Rich Brown colour scheme paired with either Black or Pure White leather upholstery while Pure and Evolve variants are offered with Navy Blue and Black fabric interiors. Mazda Connect infotainment featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is served up via an 8.8-inch screen and integrates satellite navigation as standard.
The CX-30 is stuffed with active and passive safety kit like Blind Spot Monitoring, Smart Brake Support, Traffic Sign Recognition and Mazda Radar Cruise Control with stop and go. Top-spec Astina variants will receive Vision Technology as standard with features such as 360˚ View Monitor, Cruising & Traffic Support, Front Cross Traffic Alert and Driver Monitoring. All variants will get G-Vectoring Control Plus.
Customers will have a choice between eight exterior colours, including Polymetal Grey Metallic, Soul Red Crystal Metallic, Machine Grey Metallic, Sonic Silver Metallic, Snowflake White Pearl Mica, Titanium Flash Mica, Deep Crystal Blue Mica and Jet Black Mica.
