Korean brand SsangYong has released these first images of its all-new Stavic (Rodius in other markets) people mover expected to bow at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
While the current Stavic is hugely practical it’s not the most elegant design and at first look the newcomer, while retaining some cues from the first generation is an altogether better effort.
The front-end does show similarities to SsangYong’s Actyon model but the all-new grille and modern headlights stamp the Stavic with a unique look.
But it’s the handsome rear-end which separates the second generation SsangYong Stavic from its predecessor – a much more pleasing look with forward-sloping D-pillars not dissimilar to the Mercedes-Benz ML.
SsangYong says we should expect the Stavic to employ both 2.0-litre diesel and 3.2-litre petrol engines in both 2WD and AWD.
Value-for-money has always been a SsangYong strong point and the current Stavic with its generous interior space is well-priced for families starting at $32,990.
