Audi’s brilliant Q3 compact SUV has a new entry-level model – the 1.4 TFSI which is handily priced at $42,300.
Audi being Audi, the Q3 1.4 TFSI doesn’t skimp on the specifications and in fact mirrors the 2.0 TDI Quattro model.
That means standard kit such as 10-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels, leather interior, cruise control, leather-wrapped steering wheel and the Audi rear parking system. The usual extra packages including S line sports package are also available.
Under the bonnet is Audi’s 1.4 TFSI engine driving the front wheels via a six-speed S tronic transmission. Maximum power is 110kW from 5000-6000rpm, peak torque of 250Nm is delivered from 1750rpm and fuel consumption is rated at 6.2l/100kms.
“The new entry model makes the highly successful Audi Q3 model even more attainable,” explained Audi Australia chief Andrew Doyle. “The Audi Q3’s unique combination of sporty performance, sophisticated design and everyday versatility explains why this model has led its segment since it launched in early 2012.”
