Making our home-grown V8 supercars look tame, Audi has revealed its RS 5 racer for this year’s German Touring Car Championship (DTM).
Audi is the defending DTM champion and its 2014 racer’s aggressive looks mask a completely revised aerodynamic package (not the integrated exterior mirrors). Suspension improvements were also on the ‘To-Do’ list.
The result is a front-end looking almost identical to the production RS – in fact the DTM racer shares the same honeycomb grille as the road car.
The DTM championship kicks-off at Hockenheim on 4 May.
