Audi’s red-hot RS 5 Coupe has arrived in Australia, priced from $161,400. Launch of the RS Coupe model completes the updated A5 Coupe, Sportback and Cabriolet lineup which first arrived ‘Downunder’ in May.
Powered by Audi’s high-revving 4.2FSI naturally-aspirated V8 engine, the RS 5 Coupe scores 331kW at 8250rpm and peak torque of 430Nm between 4000rpm – 6000rpm. Driving through the seven-speed S-tronic transmission, the RS 5 is good for zero to 100km/h in just 4.5 seconds.
Audi Australia has the RS 5 available with two optional Dynamic Sports packs which bring Sports Suspension Plus with Dynamic Ride Control, sports exhaust system and a choice of 20-inch alloy wheel types (aluminium or titanium look).
On the outside, the Audi RS 5 adds a beveled single frame grille and re-shaped bonnet, new wedge-shaped headlights and LED DRLs plus new tail-lights and rear bumper.
Inside the usual high quality RS features abound plus you can opt for diamond quilted Valcona leather ($14,990) or contrasting red leather ($9,400).
