Good news from Ford Australia with the first 100 Territory SUVs loaded on a car-carrying ship bound for sale in Thailand.
The breakthrough deal for Ford Australia came after the company displayed the seven-seat Territory in range-topping Titanium grade at the Bangkok Motor Show in March.
Already tested in hot weather conditions in Australia and North America, the only changes made for the Thailand Territories are fitment of radios and rear-seat DVD players suitable for the local tune.
“This is an exciting day for everyone here at Ford Australia,” revealed Ford Australia President Bob Graziano. “This is a small, but important deal and will provide an important base on which to potentially build further exports.”
Ford Australia sold the previous generation Territory in Thailand in 2005 and exports the current model to New Zealand.
