Production of the all-new BMW 3 Series is now underway at BMW’s main plant in Munich, Germany.
The sixth generation 3 Series is the first BMW model to benefit from the company’s €500 million in its production facility which employs 9,000 workers.
At full pace, the Munich plant produces 900 new BMW vehicles each day.
However it is the plant’s new green credentials which are perhaps the most impressive. Non-recyclable waste resulting from the production of each vehicle is now only eight grams while solid waste, wastewater and emissions have also been reduced to virtually zero.
