Just in time for the coldest months of the year, BMW’s M235i Convertible has arrived in Australia priced from $85,800.
Naturally BMW’s first drop-top M Performance vehicle isn’t lacking under the bonnet – the M Performance TwinPower turbo 3.0-litre six-cylinder with 240kW/450Nm and driving through an eight-speed automatic transmission will get the job done nicely we’d reckon.
Adaptive M suspension, M Sport brakes and Variable Sport Steering are all there for hallmark BMW M driving dynamics.
Styling sees the usual BMW soft top ‘’boat deck’ rear end and the top-shelf ‘M’ enhancements including 18-inch alloy wheels.
Inside are leather seats and the beautiful ‘M’ leather-wrapped steering wheel.
On the technology front the BMW M235i lists Professional Navigation, the upscale HiFi audio system, Bi-Xenon headlights, Rear-View Camera, BMW ConnectedDrive and front/rear Park Distance Control.
The electric folding soft-top can be operated at speeds up to 50km/h and includes extra sound insulation material which drops noise levels in the front bvy 5 dB(A) and by 7 dB(A) in the rear.
And while it might seems strange to launch a soft-top coupe in the depths of winter, the good news in the BMW M235i convertible runs heated front seats.
