The all-new C-Class Coupe is ground-breaking car for Mercedes-Benz, taking the German giant for the first time into the compact coupe market segment. And with an entry price of $58,900, the handsomely-styled C-Class Coupe certainly challenges the BMW 3 Series Coupe’s kick-off sticker of $66,500.

Mercedes has launched the new C-Class Coupes with a choice of V8, V6 and four-cylinder petrol engines plus the handily-priced ($69,900) C 250 CDI turbo-diesel.

Heading the lineup is the C63 AMG with its 336kW/600NM, 6.2-litre V8, then there is the C 350 Blue EFFICIENCY with 225kW/370Nm on-tap from its 3.5-litre V6. The C250 CDI provides 150kW/500Nm from its 2.1-litre, four-cylinder turbo-diesel, the C250 BlueEFFICIENCY offers 150kW/310Nm from its 1.8-litre, turbocharged four-cylinder, while the entry-level C180 Blue EFFICIENCY (also a 1.8-litre, turbocharged four cylinder) steps-up with 115kW/250Nm.

Front end styling is straight from the C-Class sedan but with a unique touch in the form of chrome louvers on the grille which accentuate the arrow-shape front. The steeply raked windscreen, long roofline and raked rear glass combine with the short tail to give the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe the expected magnificent proportions and powerful on-road presence.
