Australia's best ever road cyclist and Tour De France winner has joined Holden as an ambassador. The deal will see Cadel Evans partnering with Holden to promote a range of Holden Vehicles.
Cadel Evans had the chance to jump behind the wheel of Holden VF SS-V Redline Ute, the same ute used to set the record at Nürburgring.
“It was very special to take the new VF Ute for a drive on roads I love and have come to consider my European backyard,” said Cadel Evans.
“Back at home, I’ve had a Holden in my Australian garage for as long as I can remember and I’m honoured to be representing a brand that I have such passion for.”
Holden Executive Director - Sales and Marketing, Philip Brook said that Cadel’s achievements as an Australian winning on the world stage made him an ideal ambassador for Holden.
“Holden has already announced some blockbuster sporting partnerships this year, including the NRL and Collingwood Football Club and we’re very proud that Cadel Evans will also be representing our brand in Australia and around the world.
“Cadel’s achievements in cycling make him a sporting icon, from winning the Tour de France in 2011 to being one of only four cyclists to ever finish on the podium for each Grand Tour event and also win a Road World Championship. He is a true Aussie champion.”
