Car Showroom has long rated the seven-seat Citroen C4 Picasso very highly but now comes news the new model is better equipped, more spacious and priced from $43,990.
Citroen says the all-new C4 Picasso will be on-sale in Australia from 1 March.
And Citroen has taken the opportunity to simplify the model lineup with the all-new C4 Picasso to be sold in one trim level (Exclusive) and powered by one engine and transmission combination.
That would be PSA’s new 110kW/370Nm ‘BlueHdi’ diesel driving the front wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission. Fuel consumption is rated at 4.5l/100kms.
The C4 Picasso is the first Citroen model to use PSA’s EMP2 modular platform.
Smart packaging has always been a highlight of the Citroen C4 Picasso and while the all-new model shares the same exterior dimensions as its predecessor, weight is diown by 100kgs and the wheelbase has been extended to 2.84 metres and this translates into enhanced room inside…just where you want it in a seven-seater.
And that interior boasts a 12-inch panoramic HD screen plus a 7-inch multifunction touch screen.
Other new technology includes a 360-degree camera, self-parking, blind-spot monitoring and fuel-saving auto start/stop.
Can’t wait to drive the all-new Citroen C4 Picasso…if nothing else to rekindle memories of some great European drives.
