You use your Volvo as a delivery option.
On-show at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona is Volvo’s ‘Roam Delivery’ service based on digital car keys.
When someone wants to deliver something to you (or pick something up), via smartphone or tablet, you provide a digital key which you can track when your car has been opened and re-locked.
Once pick-up or drop-off is complete, the digital key ceases to exist.
The system is based on the functionality of the ‘Volvo On call’ telematics app and has been trialled in a program involving 100 vehicles.
