Here’s one for ‘Grey Nomads’ and recreationalists – the EarthCruiser mobile home will be displayed at the National 4x4 Outdoors Show and Fishing and Boating Expo 2-4 September at the Melbourne Showgrounds.
Based on an all-wheel-drive version of the Mitsubishi Fuso Canter, the Australian designed and manufactured EarthCruiser is already sold internationally in North America, Britain, Spain and Egypt.
Fitted with its own soft ride/hard road suspension and 36-inch Michelin XZL tyres, the EarthCruiser is equipped for extended travel, desert crossings and the toughest the Aussie outback can throw at it.
And at the end of the day, you simply set-up the EarthCruiser, enjoy a hot shower, cold drink from the fridge, cooked meal and then climb into your own comfy bed for the night. Manufactured in Queensland, each EarthCruiser comes complete with a powered elevating roof containing sleeping and accommodation for two or four people.
Solar cells and diesel fuel power the electrics, heating, cooking and water heating systems.
The clever part of the design is size – the EarthCruiser fits into a standard shipping container for easy transportation locally or internationally.
“Many of our (international) customers are travelling to Australia to collect their EarthCruiser personally and then enjoy a trip around our country before shipping it overseas for further adventures,” explained EarthCruiser’s Lance Gillies. “It’s a totally unique concept and offers total independence and an unmatched off-road ability.”
EarthCruiser buyers also enjoy peace-of-mind for servicing and replacement parts as the Mitsubishi Fuser Canter is sold worldwide and supported by Mitsubishi dealers everywhere.
