Mazda and Ford have confirmed an additional $US27 ,illion investment in their joint AutoAlliance plant in Thailand.
Home to the Mazda BT50, Ford Ranger vehicles sold in Australia, the extra investment brings total funding for the Thailand plant to around $US2.0 billion.
Thanks to improvements stemming from the extra $US27 million, the Thailand plant will boost annual pickup production by 20,000 units to 195,000.
