Ford has confirmed the iconic XR8 Falcon will return to its lineup next year.
The ‘Miami’ V8-powerd Falcon is part of the revised lineup which will bow (along with the updated Territory SUV) late in 2014.
Sadly the return of the V8 Falcon muscle car will signal the end of FPV, Ford’s high-performance vehicle offshoot.
Ford says during the next 12 months, FPV’s 12 year history will be suitably celebrated.
“Re-introducing the XR8 sedan, packaged in our updated Falcon, will make our renowned locally-engineered and manufactured V8 engine available to a broader group of people,” explained Ford’s Graeme Whickman.
