Gee we’d love to be at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina from 16-20 April as Ford celebrates 50 years of the Ford Mustang.
Your Carshowroom.com.au correspondent is a former Ford Mustang owner and genuine fan of the American icon.
Like the E-Type Jaguar, Mini Cooper and Volkswagen Bettle, the Ford Mustang is an automotive legend. But unlike the Europeans, the marvelous Mustang is pure, unadulterated American ‘Muscle Car’.
Fans and owners from 16 countries are making their way to Charlotte for the festivities and no doubt some of them will be from ‘Downunder’.
Of course the Mustang has written a large chapter in our local motorsport history with names like Ian Geoghegan, Bob Jane, Allan Moffat, Neil Allen and even Dick Johnson springing to mind.
