Here’s a page in history – Ford has officially launched the limited edition Celebration FPV GT F sedan and Pursuit Ute.
Only 500 GT F sedans and 120 Pursuit Utes are slated for production and many have already been ordered by eager customers.
The GT F sedan is powered by a 35ikW supercharged 5.0-litre V8 making it the most powerful GT sedan ever produced by Ford Australia. Of course the 351 figure was chosen as a nod to the historic 351 cubic-inch 5.8-litre V8s from the original Falcon GTs.
With an overboost function to access 15 per-cent more power, the staggering supercharged V8 was developed by Ford Product Development and Prodrive Premcar.
Attention to detail is everywhere – for example the rear suspension employs an adjustment for the rear camber bolt so you can prep your GT F for track days.
With the covers removed today we got our first look at the GT F’s bonnet ‘black out’ panel (extends to the roof and bootlid) – another recollection from the original Falcon GT.
Other styling cues are unique to the GT F – such as the extensive use of high-gloss black highlights on the outside.
Ford also announced today that buyers of the GT F will be able to purchase a tailored car cover in dark grey which features the model logo and stripe paint.
The final FPV ute, the limited edition Pursuit highlights a number of the GT F’s features and is powered a 315kW version of the supercharged 5.0-litre V8.
