Britain’s What Car? magazine has awarded its 2011 Green Family Car award to Ford’s 1.6-litre TDCi Mondeo.
The turbo-diesel Mondeo emits just 114g/km of C02 and further impressed the What Car? judges with its slick chassis dynamics, comfortable ride and precise steering.
Ford’s British-built 1.6-litre turbo-diesel engine isn’t exclusive to the Mondeo – in Europe it is fitted across the ford range from the compact Fiesta to the Galaxy people mover.
